Peter Hopkins

One of the most disappointing books I have read this year. I was so excited to read about the history of the Crane printing company and I thought that this book would be it. Although it contained stories about the long history of Crane, I found it lacking. The book was very poorly written, poorly edited and poorly published. It has no copyright page, so you don’t know when the book was published or by who. It has no ISBN number or LCCN number. I am not even sure who wrote the book. It states in the beginning of the book that Peter Hopkins compiled the stories but at the end of the book it hints that Peter Hopkins is the editor of the book. All of the collected stories seem to lack the details that would have made this book more enjoyable to readers. The book feels like it was written for people already very familiar with Crane. The images also could be improved. The book felt to me to be put together by amateurs, which is very strange since the book is about Crane Co. a paper manufacture that has been in business for hundreds of years.… (meer)
