The more I read about what a vibrant and "fruit producing" parish looks like, the more I realize my previous parish, which was closed by the author/bishop of this book, was not. The closing of St Patrick's ended being the best decision.
In a very comprehensive way, this book outlines what a parish/diocese after Vatican II should strive to be -- fully utilizing the gifts of the laity and realizing they can serve a larger role within the church.
Just a great book to be reminded that the Church isn't dying ... it's simply changing.
