The illustrations by Yulia Potts will delight young readers as they meet Popper and his companions. The narrative is good in and of itself, and it can lead to positive discussions about homelessness, personal worth and well-being, and having a sense of purpose in life, if that is the issue at hand. IL Ritchie's Popper and Friends: Popper Finds a New Home is a fantastic story for young readers about growing up and self-discovery.

I would like to thank the author and iRead Book Tours for the review copy in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This was a cute story! I read it with my nephew & he had so many questions and thoughts on Poppy and his friends! Anything that is thought provoking for the kiddos is always a good thing! He's 3 years old and the book had no problem holding his attention! The illustrations in the book are done in a way to capture and keep the little ones attention! Really a fun and cute story! Would make a great gift for the holiday season!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I love, love, love this sweet little book! Popper woodpecker realizes he is all grown up and it time he ventures out and finds a new home. After his parents wish him well, Popper takes off on his journey to find just the right home. His journey takes him to a chicken house, a pond, to a farmers house, and on to more places. Then with the help from a friend, Popper realize he already has a perfect place to make his new home.

IL Ritchie does an amazing job writing this children’s book. I love the story, introducing children to several wild and tame animals alike. I love the sweet story of Popper the owl, as he tries to find a place for his home, and your child will love Popper too. Yulia Potts brings the story to life with fabulous illustrations on each page the fit so well with the story. This book is beautiful inside and out with vivid colors and adorable animals. The background scenes are adorable. This entire book is adorable and would make a good addition to your child’s library. As well as any daycare or elementary school library. And can I say Christmas gift? Poppy Finds a New Home will make the perfect gift for the child in your family.

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

Popper is a little woodpecker who realizes that he has outgrown his family home, as his bed is now too small for him. He sets out on a mission to find a new home with the help of his buddies.
IL Ritchie's Popper Finds a New Home is a delightful story about a young woodpecker. The book is charming, and children will enjoy the subject. My not quite two-year-old granddaughter adored it and asked questions about the numerous home prospects Popper visited. All of Popper’s friends' proposals delighted her as well. She enthused over the affable Filbert’s suggestion.
I enjoyed how each of Popper's friends offered to assist him by describing where woodpeckers don't live and encouraging him to look elsewhere. I also admired Popper's parents' support and approval for him in his quest.
Older children will enjoy the story as well and will take away many positive messages about growing up, friendships and perseverance, along with the concept of diverse kinds of homes.
The graphics are so clever, cute and delightful. Yulia Pots, the illustrator, created quirky, inventive illustrations throughout the book. The pictures of birds, animals and insects are slightly exaggerated, giving them an appealing quality that children will enjoy.
The narrative is aimed at children aged 3 to 7. It will, however, pique the curiosity of both younger and older children. The text is easy to read and occupies the entire page, which will stimulate the interest of beginning and more advanced readers. At the same time, the illustrations will enchant and amuse fledgling and non-readers alike.
Thank you to iRead Book Tours. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

Popper is a woodpecker. he has outgrown his bed and must find a new home. After he searches high and low, plus receives a lot of helpful advise, he becomes aware of the obvious .
This is a cute story and is comically illustrated by Yulia Potts. The colors are brightly colored.
It is a great Storytime book. It is written for ages three to eight but I recommend at least age five. Very small children will quickly lose interest with the amount of conversation.

*This book was gifted me with no pressure for a positive review. This is my honest review.

Popper Finds a New Home is part of the Popper and Friends series by Il Ritchie. It tells the story of Popper, a little woodpecker who has to find a new home and gets help from many friends along the way. It was fun going on a little adventure that Popper goes on and see what he discovers. He learns some important life lessons that so many of us - young and old – can all learn from. I thought it was such a cute little tale. I enjoyed reading it with my own children. It was a great way to spend some time with them. We all loved it.

Popper Finds a New Home is illustrated from the very talented Yulia Potts. The pictures are colorful and vivid. They perfectly follow story and help bring the characters to life. They help the story flow and make it easy for younger readers stay focused on the story.

Popper Finds a New Home will be getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of six and ten. This would make a great addition to a school’s library or classroom. I would love to read more by Il Ritchie and their Popper and Friends series in the future.

I received a hard cover copy of Popper Finds a New Home from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

In Popper Finds a New Home, Popper is the cutest little woodpecker who realizes he’s outgrown his bed and must leave his parent’s house to find a new home. His parent’s support him, wishing him well on his new adventure.

Popper looks high and low for a place to build his home, but nothing seems right. He searches out the pond where bullfrogs live, the chicken coop where chickens live, the barn where owls live, windowsills, streetlights, and utility poles, but none of these places are the right place for him to build a home. Finally, Filbert the Squirrel suggests the perfect spot—the trees near his parents’ home, and he eagerly gets to work on a home that fits him just right.

I like how Popper doesn’t get too discouraged and he keeps his spirits (and search) up. And the illustrations are simply adorable!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book. My review was not influenced.
