A book based heavily upon the author's work with people in bondage to alcoholism and other addictions. His premise is that freedom will not come until the enslaved person leaves egocentricity and self-effort behind and surrenders to God. Agreeing with the principles of AA, Jabay believes in the necessity of a higher power, the efficacy of confession and the need for group support.
