Tobi Jacobi

Tobi Jacobi is an associate professor of English at Colorado State University where she teaches courses on writing and literacy theory with a specialization in the work of incarcerated women, writers. She directs the CSU Community Literacy Center and trains volunteers to facilitate writing toon meer workshops" with incarcerated adults and at-risk youth. She has published on community literacy and prison writing in book collections and journals such as Community Literacy Journal, feminist Formations and the Journal of Correctional Education. She is currently working on an archival project on the New York Training School for Girls with the Prisons Public Memory Project. Ann Tolwell Stanford is Vincent DePaul Professor of Multidisciplinary and literary studies at the School for New Learning, DePaul University. A poet she founded and directed the DePaul Project on Women, Writings and incarceration after having written poetry with women at Cook County Jail for over seven years. Her book, Bodies in A Brokeu World Women Novelists of Color The Politics of Medicine, was published in 2003. toon minder
