Originally read this book in 1975. Re-read it in 2013 and enjoyed it all over again. Interesting narrative of the author's numerous trips climbing in the Swiss Alps. As the title suggests this is not stories of an expert mountain climber nor is it an instructional guide on climbing techniques. It is a very entertaining read, written by a man in love with the mountains. Jacobson Includes very vivid descriptions of the beauty to be found in the mountains and he tells of the deep friendships formed with climbing partners. A thoroughly enjoyable read. mcola21@gmail.com½
