Ruth Jaynes

This book is about a little boy name Robert who lives in an apartment building but describes it as a big house. He takes about the other people that lives in the building and how they each have their own doors and own living area. He also takes about his friend Manuel that lives downstairs from him and how much they enjoy going to each other house to play together.

I enjoyed this book because to me, it demonstrated how even children take pride and appreciate what they have. This book also gave an example of everyone being able to get along while all living in one building. Also, this book demonstrates friendship like the one that him and his friend Manueal developed and shared with each other.

I would incorporate what I read in this book into a classroom of my own by maybe having an open discussion and getting some of the students to talk about the kind of house that they live in. Also, I could get my students involved by getting them to draw a picture of their home along with a picture of their family.… (meer)
