Published in 1929, the book is still mostly up-to-date on what sights can be seen, although a few things have changed over the decades. There are a few instances of really great writing, like Eve's first glimpse of the pyramids from her hotel balcony at sunrise, and there's some witty banter here and there. It has some issues... the characters have a certain amount of baked-in racism, and Eve is not very relatable as a character, but if you read this book, read it for the travelogue aspect and you'll enjoy it.
