This book will be very helpful if you are looking to learn how to create responsive reading instruction for your kids. The assessments lets you assess their sight word recognition, comprehension, reading rate and listening level. From these assessments you can see what phonemes they have trouble with, their reading behaviors (omitting, substituting, reversals), and their reading levels (independent, instructional, and frustration).
Has assessments for pre-primer to twelve grade.

This is a great resource book because it covers so many aspects of reading from phonics to structural analysis of words. The book is full of examples of how to help students and has resources in the back with list of words and activities.
This set-up of the book makes it easy to find what you are looking for which will be handy when you need an activity and only have a few minutes to find one.
