I was not able to read this book with much enjoyment. This was a short story, but what I could not understand is the two main characters are step-brother and sister. That was a fact that would not lend any credibility or completing the story. Also, I could hardly read the book without wanting to pull out a red pen for grammer and spelling errors. I would seriously consider a rewrite on this book.
I was on the fence between giving it a 3 and a 4 so I opted for 3. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Quick little short story, characters decent, action fair. The end kind of left me hanging I felt, but again, for a short story pretty good. Like smallfries' review, there were a few parts where it was confusing, and a few places do need a bit of editing.
The storyline was fairly easy to follow and very predictable, although at one point she's in the car with Christian and then a,k of the sudden she's with her mom. I also didn't know who came into Sierra's room to get her when she was throwing things out the window. I had to continue reading to figure it out. Definitely needs to be reedited. I felt like I was reading the same sentence over, only to realize that it was repetitive. Also, it was too wordy, almost unnaturally so. All in all, it wasn't a bad read, especially considering it's a short story, however, it definitely could have been developed better.… (meer)
