imagine my disappointment when I needed to carve a toad and I realized I had only 1 (one!) book on frogs. Than imagine my sheer joy on realizing that this book is THE BEST book. Drawings from all angles, with various frogs in every position.

32 page book. Each spread introduces a new topic with text and illustrations on the left side and a single large illustration on the right. Well organized, with good presentation, but a little bit of sloppiness in the text. Just one spread on beekeeping.½

Good research book on wolves.

This book is all about bats in a way that helps children understand them. It talks about how they are mammals and good flyers. It also discusses how they move in the dark, have babies, eat different things and so on. There are very detailed and colorful labeled pictures.
I love the pictures! It makes the book fun for children! I wish they had been bigger!
I would absolutely use this book in a classroom. It would be a fantastic book to open a subject or a lesson on bats! Afterwards, the children could color pictures of bats or label pictures of bats. It would be fun!
