There are instructions for building six dwellings (and furnishings) in this book. The most unusual are a Japanese house and a vardo (caravan), which are really well done. The mid-century modern ranch house is also specially appealing. The author uses a jigsaw to cut out most of the furniture, which does well for kitchens and case furniture, but less well for "carved" chairs and "turned" bedsteads; serious miniaturists need another book, but every furnishing one needs for a child's dollhouse is conveniently here.
