Full of detailed accounts and personal stories. An interesting history to read through as a Milwaukeean and must be amazing for the families with Jones Island connections. I think the history of the legal treatment of inhabitants in particular is quite relevant reading for everyone in the city.

I don't know that I'd recommend the book as a narrative to just anyone looking for a good story, but it's an invaluable resource and I'm very glad it's been written.
