** For mature adults only, has violent and mature sexual situations in it.**

I loved this book, in some ways more than the previous, but only for the reason we just added some more great characters to the cast so far. Has all of them, we still have Dovey , Aaron, Daniel, BJ, Jonas and Arie, and the kids, and more returning characters I love. We briefly meet Tawney at the very end of Dead Hunter, and this book is about her finding a naked man in the field near BJ’s land in the mountains. She is a werewolf, and can sense he is not human, but beyond that has no clue what supernatural he is. He is unconscious and has a bad bullet wound on his head. So she carries him to BJ’s empty house, and nurses him to health. When this man wakes up, he has no memory of who or what he is.

This one I really liked a lot, as I find stories with memory loss quite interesting. It reminded me of the Bourne Identity movie and book. The memory loss part that is. I found it interesting when his thoughts went to blood, then he was appalled at himself, and kept checking his teeth for fangs. It was quite funny.

I liked the relationship that develops with Tawny and David (its what they decide to call him) and I thought it interesting how he gets “healed” will not say what, as it’s a spoiler. I want to keep this as spoiler free as I can.

We have a war of evil vs good here, well, got that in the others, but this is a bigger one brewing. We find our cast from the other books right in the thick of it.

This book, just like the others, is refreshing, has its action and adults only sexual situations. And we have the fun humor.
I really have enjoyed this series so far, as I had said before the True Blood fans will like this series I think, as well as others that like a big mix of supernaturals in the modern world.

I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

I received this book for my honest review for the book tour.

** Adult content, with language and adult situations, including sexual situations.**

My Review:

I will try to keep this spoiler free for the previous books too, best I can. I started with Dead Awake, then Dead Faint, now its Dead Hunter.
We start this one in the mind of a young Vampire hunter, who gets these vibes, or feelings, when Vampires are near her. Arie is her name and I find it is interesting that she gets this vibe when approaching a park, that has a pretty blonde who is pregnant and another women with a child, and her vibes are strong, but she sees no vampires (or so she thinks) and vows then and there, not to let anything happen to the 2 women and the child (who by the way, are vampires, the child is one of the rare pregnancies that was a success, and another on the way, (from the previous book Dead Faint) So if you read the others, you will conclude these ladies are Dovey, and BJ and Dovy's child.
I found it funny that Arie wants to protect them, but not knowing that they are where she gets her vibes.
Then she meets Jonas , the hot vampire doctor, and she likes him alot, right away, and of course at this point I have a feeling where its going. I decided this book will be more about Jonas and his special someone, who may be Arie, I wont tell, lol.

Arie finds herself in danger, and do you think Jonas will be able to help her? You will have to find out.

I really love how these books are like a continuation on each previous books, BUT not in a way that if you say skipped one, you would be fine. As each book does have the reappearance of the characters from the others, but it will concentrate the main story on the new additions. Like the first, was more Dovey and Aarons story, the 2nd was BJ and Daniels story, but Daniel was in the first one too, and of course Dovey and Aaron are in the 2nd and this one as well.

Overall all the books so far, are witty, fun, and exciting. True Blood fans will love them, as I had said before. Also has that fun of the Night Huntress series I love so much.

These are NOT for YA, they are adult books for sure.

I wont say more on the story , as it would spoil way too much. Lets just say, its an enticing read, and you need to read what I mean for yourself.
Very well written books, lots of promise for this author.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

**Adult situations and language, and explicit sexual situations. Not for YA, mature readers only**

This book is as good as the first one, almost. I loved the comedy in it, and loved the return of Dovey and Aaron , as well as Daniel and Rat. I liked that Danil became less stuffy in this book. It did get on my nerves a bit on how hillbilly sounding BJ was. (Billie Joyce, and there is quite the funny part when that nickname came up, lol)

BJ is funny in other ways, besides her nerve grating hillybilly talk, is that she is a new vampire and faints at the sight of blood.
I can’t really say much more without giving away too much. But its written brilliantly, and a great addition to the DEAD series. Again, not fond of the covers, it’s the only negative I have. Give it a shot.

5 out of 5 stars for me.

**This book contains adult situations, language and explicit sex scenes. NOT recommended for younger readers. Mature adults only**

This was a really good book. I had started to read the 2nd one Dead Faint, for a book tour, but felt a little lost, and ended up waiting til this one came out free at Amazon, as I was not supplied this one for the tour. I am glad I did read it, its really good. I will be honest, if it was not for the book tour, I never would have picked up these books to read. I may have grabbed this one, while free, just to try it. But the covers all turn me off. To me they are plain and nothing eye catching about them. I am one of those people unfortunately that does judge books by the covers, as there is too many books I want to read, and only approach books that catch my eye by the cover. I'm bad, I know. Can't help it, I am a visual type person.

Ok, for the book, the writing was top notch, lots of promise for this writer, and some good unique ideas too, and even though it's a Vampire book, its done in a way that is new to me. I loved Deb/Dovey and Aaron too. Daniel was a little stuffy to me, but he grew on me a little, as did Rat.

I do not want to say too much, so not to spoil anything. This book is short, and just about anything I say, will spoil it. Pretty much what can be said, is said in the blurb. The book is full of sarcasm, snark and laugh out loud comedy, which I did not expect. I really liked Deb/Dovey, and I didn't think I would, as she seemed to be a spoiled rich girl, and never worked in her life. Of course that changes when she wakes up "undead" in her coffin, dressed in a shroud (which is basically a sheet wrapped around her) and barefoot, which I think upsets her more than the fact she was in a coffin. (and to her dismay, not a comfy satin lined one either, plain pine box)
She can't believe her family would not bury her in one of her designer outfits and shoes. (being Jewish has its downfalls for burials she figures)
So, Deb/Dovey has to fend for herself without her trustfund. She has to actually work, and has only one skill, she can dance, and is a very pretty blonde. So you can guess the type of job she has to get. She handles it all pretty well, and I started to really like her.

We also have other supernaturals in this book too, some werewolves, and mention of witches etc.

Go pick up this book, its worth reading, and watch for my review for the 2nd book Dead Faint, coming soon, book tour stop at my blog is 10/14 come by, check it out, enter the giveaway. Click banner at bottom for my blog.

5 out of 5 stars for this one, only negative is the cover, otherwise, great read, short too, and fun.
