Dana LeCheminant had me from the first page with Prince Harry stuck in the pool! This funny, sweet story was the perfect summer read & a great introduction to the Costal Kisses romcom series.

I loved Royal “King” Kingston! He’s under a lot of pressure after his uncle passed away leaving him with two businesses to run. King loves his surfing lessons business, but the bakery has a huge sentimental value. Not to mention there’s a clause in his uncle’s will that makes it impossible to sell. When his old flame Georgie Carpenter returns to Willow Cove & proposes a solution to his problem, he has to decide if he’ll risk his heart again to save the family business.

Georgie’s & King’s romance was so much fun! King was deliciously grumpy & understandably so because Georgie left him without an explanation ten years ago & he hasn’t been able to move on since. His witty sarcasm had me laughing out loud. He’s got a kind heart though & is ever the gentleman. It was fun seeing that snarky side mellow as he falls for Georgie again.

Georgie’s coming off a recent breakup & is determined to find success with the bakery that changed her life as a young teenager. But, those old feelings she had for King still linger. Not able to buy the bakery outright, she proposes a marriage of convenience which’ll later be dissolved once she buys the bakery. I loved all those moments when she & King have to kiss & show affection towards each other to prove their marriage is real.

I enjoyed the quirky residents of Willow Cove & the side characters as well. Georgie’s friend Cecily & King’s friend Coop added a fun dynamic to the mix. Cecily’s a marriage counselor & I enjoyed the way she helped with King’s & Georgie’s relationship.

There were so many funny, swoony moments! I loved all of Prince Harry’s antics, ring shopping, making macarons, the surf lesson, the storm, all those close proximity issues with a marriage of convenience & the epilogue.

Who needs sunshine when they’ve got Liam Connolly to brighten up the world?” I loved this book! Dana LeCheminant’s definitely a favorite author and I was so excited to read the start of this new celebrity romcom series! Moonstruck was everything I’d hoped for and more. It’s funny, romantic, entertaining, with even a hint of mystery, and so hard to put down.

Liam Connolly is a delectable, cinnamon roll MMC who’s the perfect guy if only he didn’t find himself in the right place at the wrong time. He’s a talented music star, but also so sweet, thoughtful, and down to earth. With a fractured foot and on house arrest after a misunderstanding while trying to rescue a fan, he orders food from a delivery service which caters to the wealthy. When Kasey shows up with his food and has no clue who he is, he’s definitely intrigued. After a hilarious meet-cute, he’s determined to find out more about her.

Kasey has no idea who Liam is until after she’s met him. His charm and charisma though leaves her swooning. She’s not interested in his celebrity status or in a relationship after just being burned, but when she finds out he has friends with connections who could help her with her screenwriting career, she’s tempted to continue a friendship with Liam.

I loved this story so much! Along with the sweet friendship to more relationship between Liam and Kasey, there’s a darling Taylor Swift singing budgie named Nelson, celebrity friends who I can’t wait to learn more about, neighbors who provide a bit of mystery and intrigue, and fun tie-ins with several beloved characters from previous series! I also enjoyed all the music references and how Kasey becomes Liam’s muse. I only wish I could hear his songs!

Have you ever read the first chapter of a book and had your jaw physically drop? That’s what happened when I started this book! It will blow your mind, especially if you’ve read the previous books in the series that’ve been building up to this book. And definitely, save this book for last. While all the books in the series take place in the same time frame and can technically be read in any order, you’ll want to save this one for the very end. You’ll thank me.

It’s a fantastic conclusion to an amazing, favorite series. Just when I think I couldn’t love the Briggs siblings more, we get Houston’s story and it’s everything I hoped it’d be. He’s kind, extremely generous, and ready to settle down, especially with his baseball career coming to an end. He has a huge problem not only professionally, but personally. He’s met two distinctly different women.

Darcy Paxton just rented the duplex next door and is the kind of down to earth, thoughtful, easy to share with woman Houston’s always been searching for. Then there’s Tamlin Park, the voluptuous, spunky reporter determined to dig up a story on him. She’s his arch enemy until he gets to know her better and then finds himself attracted to her as well. What’s he to do? He doesn’t want to hurt either one or be “that guy.” Darcy though is hiding a secret. Will Houston figure it out in time?

I loved, loved, loved this book! It’s the perfect love triangle that will satisfy even the biggest detractors. I adored both women and wondered how it would all work out. All I’ll say is I enjoyed so much how the author pulled it off. This book has the most swoony kisses, so much romantic tension, lots of humor and witty banter, surprising, twisty moments, the most heartwarming little league baseball interactions, and cameos from beloved characters including The Wonder Boys!

This is definitely one story you don’t want to miss. A 10/10! I’m going to really miss these guys, but I have a feeling we might be seeing them again. In the meantime, I’ll love going back and reading the previous books in the series now that Houston’s secrets have been spilled. Highest of recommendations for this book and the whole series. Every book Dana LeCheminant writes becomes a new favorite & Crossing the Brooklyn Briggs is no exception. It’s a friends/enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, forced proximity, sweet romcom that’ll leave you desperately wanting to see these characters again. The swoon worthy romance, all those purposeful glances & brushing of hands (cue the “Darcy flex”), and the cute, funny banter made this an irresistible read. There’s also a heartfelt storyline of second chances and coming back after a betrayal.

Brooklyn’s a science teacher but really wants to be back in the lab. She’s had bad luck with men, but hopes the hot male science teacher she’s competing with for STEM Teacher of the Year may be the answer. When her brother’s best friend Jordan literally falls back into her life, her luck may have just changed.

Jordan has always been attracted to Brooklyn, but because she’s his best friend’s sister, she’s been off limits. When an accident gives Brooklyn a concussion, Jordan’s there to take care of her. But, something’s off. Brooklyn isn’t the vibrant, confident, ready to prank woman she used to be. Can he inspire Brooklyn to find her old self again all the while hiding his true feelings, especially with his messy past?

I loved Jordan and Brooklyn! Their chemistry was amazing. From Brooklyn’s texting fiascos (which I personally relate to a little too much) and experiments to Jordan’s mad chef skills and flirting lessons, this book kept me laughing, swooning, and anxiously anticipating each page. I loved the way Jordan calls Brooklyn “Queen” and his misnaming of the guy she has a crush on. I loved Brooklyn’s “experiments” to see if Jordan likes her.

This series is a must read! Each book has been an absolute favorite. I love all the Briggs siblings and their path to love. It’s unique in that each book can be read as a standalone and in any order. They all share one particular moment in common. Now I’m dying to read Houston’s story! I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author.
