Moving story, gorgeous artwork—I loved this one. The author’s coda was a nice look at what inspired the book, and it was neat that he included photos of the models for the characters.

This was an interesting concept for a comic book about Roman Catholic saints who are reincarnated to fight the Archangel Michael in the Apocalypse. Firstly, this was really good artwork; secondly, this is heavenly (no pun intended) based on religious stories for anyone who might be sensitive to that type of thing; and thirdly, it is a good story f you have an understanding to saints in general. Two of my personal favorite saints (St. Lucy and St. Sebastian) are in the story and both were respectfully shown as if they were from the modern era.

Another comic from the bargain bin that I paid 50 cents for.

I would have given this 5 stars if there wasn’t any gross bodily fluid stuff in the first couple of pages, that’s just not my cup of tea.

The story is interesting, I’m curious as to what the dreams mean, and the ending had my scratching my head.

The artwork is beautiful and the colors are slightly dull but it fits with the story. If I find #2 during one of my comic trips then I’ll definitely pick it up.

I picked up this comic because I thought the cover looked cool. The artwork was unique and added to the sci fi / dystopian themes. The plot wasn’t original and some of the dialogue was cheesy. Since it’s only 5 issues I’m going to read the rest. This issue ended in a cliffhanger and I really want to know what’s going to happen next.

I knew about Spawn because it is popular to the point where I recognized the name but that's about it. This issue sucked me in and now I want to read some more on Spawn. Loved this!

This is an Irish fantasy that is more confusion than it is story. Plus it’s written like a teenagers wet dream. Scantily clad women that serve no purpose other than T & A, and obsessive amounts of gore for no reason. This book and the series is a hard pass for this reviewer.

I love love love the overarching concept of this series, but the execution is a mess, with a story line that's hopelessly muddled and confusing. I'll probably keep reading anyway, both for the gorgeous artwork and the gratifying girl-on-misogynist violence.

Wonderful story and characters. I loved the art and the storyline and was very sorry when this graphic novel ended. The idea of showing people of all religions and of no religion working together, for both good and evil, is well done and fascinating. I really enjoyed the misfit, heavy metal bad-boy/girl vibe too. My only complaint is that the ending was a bit abrupt but I'm hoping there will be more to come so I'm willing to overlook that for now!
