Whew. What a story! This was one of those books that I’ve wanted to read for a while, but never quite got there…until it fit well with a prompt for a reading challenge, anyway. I’m so glad I took the time for it! It’s inspiring to read about families who have gone through hard things, witness them hold on to faith, and see how the Christian community pulled around and helped them in their struggles. This was an encouraging, faith-building read, and it’s wonderful to see how the Lord can bring hope out of such difficult circumstances.… (meer)
