This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. Fairies come from a floating island in the sky called Gloss Angeles, you guys, for real. You can get there by flying My Little Ponies and glitter power.

I do not endorse this rousing cheer, but Thomas'll do fine without me. I guess the aversion I feel to Thomas can help me understand how some people can feel the aversion they do to Harry Potter, though.

Terrible storytelling, but it's nice to see Barbie and her friends saving the day.

This short story is included in a larger book with other short stories. It is a fairy tale, and a classic tale of "good vs. evil". It is about two best friends who have to help a fairy apprentice to defeat an evil musical muse, who wants to take over the kingdom. In the end, the good overpowers the evil, but of course not in a mean way. Although there could be something taught about "good vs. evil", I don't think this story goes far beyond that. I would not use it in a classroom, except for free reading time, because there is no educational value to it. Because of this, and because the book was not extremely entertaining, I am rating this story 1 star. The illustrations are typical barbie. They portray pretty, skinny girls and a lot of pink.

Unlike the Bratz, this is actually appropriate for children and has fun original stories as well as crafts and activity ideas.
