Little Stories for Little Children door Miriam Margolina
Creepy-looking woodblock prints. The 'stories' were mostly one or two sentences, reading like the first lines of stories. The only interesting thing about the book, imo, is that it is dual-language Hebrew/ English. Or maybe it's Yiddish/ English. The book doesn't say.

So children made the most of what they had. When spring arrived and the snow melted, they made little paper boats to float on the streams of water running in street gutters and ditches. Scattered wooden boards near the house would be made into a see-saw. When a cradle for a doll was needed, they would find the tools to build it. . . .
