Bernie Marsden (1951–2023)

Born in 1951, Marsden is an exact contemporary for Jon, making this a very handy memoir for time and place. Unfortunately moves very quickly through key times, but there are details to be gleaned. Maybe the cleanest r&r memoir ever penned. Not especially incisive about his playing or songwriting.

Interesting story of one man's journey to becoming one of his generation's top guitar players and successful song writers. Full of anecdotes about rock musicians he met on his way and the challenges of musicians being paid by their management. Has encouraged me to explore the music of many of the bands he played with, especially those I had never previously heard of, which are many!
