I attended a kōrero by the author (on his tour hosted by the Royal Society) on the same topic: the book covers broadly the same content in more detail. Both are utterly fantastic and have vastly expanded my knowledge of the stars (thanks to the "Iwa o Matariki" push I knew their names but little else), the celebrations around their rising in winter, and the broader cultural context. Highly readable and important for any New Zealander.
