It is highly unusual for a hog to help two young people attend a Christian school, but then, Legion is not your run-of-the-mill hog. Named in honor of the biblical miracle that involved a herd of hogs and demon possession, he does indeed play a role in persuading Mr. and Mrs. Meadows that Mark and Brenda should attend the small red church school.

Of course, good friends like Patrick and Jill help, and so does a clever teacher with a hard-to-pronounce name. A group of Christian men who put neighborliness ahead of business do their part also.

Along with his teaching duties at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, Maylan Schurch always has his ears tuned for an interesting story that is waiting to be written.
