Lisa McKendrick is an outstanding new author!

Although this book is directed at an L.D.S. audience, most anyone would really enjoy reading this!

After being rescued from a Siberian orphanage while very young, Lana had enjoyed a contented life with a good family - however, she remained reserved and fearful of human contact . Although she had friends, the only one she was ever close to did not share her same beliefs but it didn't matter. Lana totally trusted her.

Now after graduating from Yale with a degree in Art, Lana had earned the prestigious Wilmington Trust Award and for six weeks she would be painting with one of the best tutors in the world! She was headed to Nantucket to paint the scenes on the beautiful coastal Island...or not!

When Lana arrived, the new promoter had a new agenda and she would be spending the time in one of hundreds of places with an accomplished artist.

Lana was in for a huge surprise! Wasn't God listening to the prayer she offered?

Where in this world is Hitchpost, Idaho!?!

Once she arrived, events continued too be even more bizarre!

This is a slightly humorous, yet, very touching story..Keep a box of Kleenex near!

The tale contained several twists, very true to real life. Discovered love, of various types, found and lost, changes Lana's views of life and the world in those six, trying, weeks.

As the characters evolve and "jump off the pages" into the reader's heart, he/she will find it very difficult to put the book down! The characters and scenes feel so real!

The Book Cover and Title depicts the story well. I also love the back-woods county name of "Hitchpost"!

This definitely earns a Five Stars + Rating.
*This book was gifted me with no mention of a positive review. This is my honest Review.

4 stars

This has humor, drama and romance. It does mention LDS standards but does not really mention any beliefs. It is a clean read.

I liked most of the characters. I did not like the mother. She is always talking so negative to her daughter. It was a little too much.

Sophie is the main character. In this story starts out as Sophie tells her father that she wants to marry him when she grows up. He answers by giving her a journal to write letters to her future husband. Sophie starts writing hate mail to him. Then she gets a crush as a teenager.

The last part of the book is cute when Sophie meets her future daughter as a teenager. She wants to pick out her father. She also wants to be born, she is tired of waiting.

Sometimes the story worked and other times does not make sense. It is quite was over the top with the mother and the boyfriend.
On the whole I liked it. I would like to read more by Lisa McKendrick in the future.

I was given this ebook to read by Cedar Fort Publishing. In return I agreed to give a honest review of Letters to My Future Husband and agree to give honest review.
