A travelog on a trip from Ft. McMurray on the Athabasca, Slave and Mackenzie Rivers to the Beaufort Sea. The writer makes much - too much of following in the footsteps of Alexander Mackenzie after whom the large river is named. The travalog almost becomes a history lesson instead which I found disconcerting.
