Lucky Moon

Harper has returned home from the Olympic training center after an accident that has left her paralyzed. She runs into Riley, a school mate, when her wheelchair breaks. He fixes it and tries to make amends for being a jerk in high school. After they keep running into each other, Riley suggests a road trip to improve their relationship. Prior to going on the road trip, Harper goes to see her estranged sister, Loretta, who she urges to return home. On their road trip, Harper and Riley grow closer. She trusts him to see her little side. She also trusts him to begin training together so she can begin training to get back to racing--this time in her wheelchair. During a race, she is threatened by an old acquaintance. Will she go back to putting herself down? Will she take what Riley has shown her and run with it? Will this trip bring the healing she needs?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Riley. Harper is a little harder to like as she starts off as a downer. She only sees what she has lost. I was glad when she goes to see her sister and sees what has happened in the several years they had not seen each other. I think that is when she knows she has work to do. The time Riley and Harper have together to talk also shows her how much work she has to do. She does the work. She starts seeing things with fresh eyes and accepts what Riley says about her and her inner strength. They also build a new relationship. I was glad to see the positives that came into Harper's life having someone believe in her and show her how to see the positive.

Chloe is a lawyer specializing in toy infringement law. She is tired and wants a change. Her friend asks her to come to Rawhide Ranch for the holidays. She goes where she meets Niklas who has been Santa for the past 10 years in Lapland. He is tired of the entitled children he sees while doing his job. He is tired of Christmas. Master Derek had invited Niklas to Rawhide Ranch several years ago. He decides now is a good time to go. Will they get what they want? What they need?

I enjoyed this story. I liked both Chloe and Niklas. They are good for one another. Niklas is compassionate and gentle with Chloe. Chloe wants to learn to let go and let her little side out. Niklas helps with that as well as her submissive side. Chloe helps Niklas find the joy he lost. It is not all happiness and fun though. Chloe pushes too hard because of a fantasy she has, and Niklas loses it. When he learns of Chloe's past, it affects him and he comes to the realization that, though they have only met, she is the one for him. I was glad that Niklas knows how to apologize, how to right his wrongs as well as the ones from Chloe's past. It all works to make an unforgettable read.

I love Lucky Moon's books. I love the Rawhide Ranch series. I look forward to more of both.… (meer)

Addie is a photographer who is in Little Rock until it is time for her to go to New Zealand for a new assignment. Travis is a tour guide in town who is attracted to Addie. He is also a Daddy and thinks she is a little. They begin working together to find the treasure hidden in Little Rock that they hope will help save the town from developers who want to ruin it. Can they work together and save the town?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Addie. She gets into little space very quickly. Travis is not certain if he wants to take on a little again but with their treasure hunt, he knows she needs protection. I liked Addie's enthusiasm. She does not think things through, but she throws herself into whatever she does. I was glad that Addie and Travis could work through their differences. I also liked that the story ended where it began but you have to find out yourself where.

Anita is the social media director of Littlecreek Ranch as well as a writer who has been rejected for not having a bad boy leading character. Duke is the head of security and a bad boy according to his reputation. Anita wants to shadow him, saying it's because she wants to get a better handle on what happens on the ranch so she can do a better job on social media, but she really wants to use Duke as a role model for her bad boy character. All Duke wants to do is win the Montana Stampede as a bull rider to live up to his dad's reputation. Do they get what they want? Do they learn more about each other that will change their minds?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Anita. Duke was a jerk at times especially when he got angry with Anita, but he was not the bad boy Anita and his brothers thought he was. Anita also had her own skeletons in the closet, but she does not set out to hurt or deceive Duke. When he gets mad after discovering her story, he was out of line and control. I liked that he created his own punishment, mostly because he would not stop and listen to anyone.

I totally enjoyed the ending and look forward to reading Trent's story.… (meer)
