Geoffrey Morley-Mower is an associate professor in the English department of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA. He was born in London, England, on 5 May 1918 and served for thirty-one years as an officer pilot in the RAF, retiring as a wing commander in 1968. His decorations toon meer include the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Cross. After the war the author stayed on in the RAF serving in Gibraltar, Cyprus, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and for three years (1965-1968) in the Pentagon. Retiring from the RAF after the Pentagon tour of duty, he settled in Harrisonburg with his wife, Mary, and became a US citizen Ray Duke graduated from Sacramento State University in 1995 with a degree in history, and specialises in researching WWII subjects toon minder
