David D. Morrison is a retired Oyster Bay Branch line manager and railroad historian. The author of four other books in Arcadia's Images of Rail series, he is a charter member of the Railroad Museum of Long Island, and he is a cochair, along with Gary Farkash, of the Oyster Bay Railroad Station toon meer Restoration Committee. Morrison has given countless presentations to libraries and historical societies on Long Island, and he still enjoys doing so. toon minder

Long Island Railroad : Port Jefferson branch door David D. Morrison
A well done book on the Port Jefferson branch of the Long Island Rail Road. The black and white photos which make up the bulk of the book with extensive captioning are well selected. It shows a rural era with steam locomotives but somewhat in the shadow of New York.
