This is a truly fascinating collection of surveys which shines a light on the private lives of a small group of Victorian and Edwardian women. The sample is by no means representative, but I don't think you can pass this book by if you want to learn about the married lives of women in the late 19th and early 20th centuries because no other resource of this type is available today.
