Two and a half stars, rounded up. This was a short, easy read with likable characters. I appreciated the premise of Cassie, a young female scientist working to save the small porpoises (vaquitas) from extinction in a secluded Mexican beach town near Baja. I was rooting for Cassie's efforts to convince the owners of a large, soon-to-be-built resort to include a sanctuary to protect the vaquitas. The romance was predictable, as was the novel's outcome. I was disappointed with the number of typos and other grammatical errors, which lowered my star rating.… (meer)
