Richtiger Quatsch, ein Produkt entstanden aus der enthemmten, seelenlosen modernen Welt, in der viele glauben, jeder könne alles sein oder werden. Der Wolf sei der beste Freund des Hasen, also müsse man eigentlich gar keine Angst mehr haben. Was sind das für beknackte Botschaften an die Kinder? Hab keine Angst mehr vor Fremden, denn bestimmt wollen sie dir nur - wie der Wolf im Buch - ein Geschenk zum Geburtstag bringen? Mama und Papa lassen den Wolf auch noch rein...absolut unsäglicher Dreck. Und umso schlimmer, daß viele Erwachsene die Probleme des Buchs und deren Konsequenzen auf die kindliche Psyche anscheinend nicht verstehen, sondern diese Wendung auch noch witzig finden!

A little bunny, getting tucked in at bedtime, worries to his mother about the wolf. On the left-hand page are the bunny and his mother; on the right-hand page, the wolf does exactly what the little bunny is worried about. At last, despite all the mother's assurances, the wolf DOES come - a belated birthday guest with a present.½

Gorgeous art inspired by Gustav Klimt -- beautiful homage -- and lyrical poetic writing. Great for kids and elders to enjoy together. Themes of art and patience and wisdom and faith and love of nature...

Glad to have found this gem at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art this weekend.
