Gary Peterson wrote a sports column for the Contra Costa Times (later Bay Area News Group) from 1981 to 2011, covering Bay Area sports as well as national and global events, including the Olympics, Super Bowl, World Series, Final Four, NBA and NHL playoffs, and, yes, the earthquake that postponed toon meer Game 3 of the 1989 World Series. A graduate of San Jose State University, he won multiple Associated Press Sports Editors awards. He grew up in the East Bay Area suburb of Concord, California, where he lives with wife, Ann, and daughters, Dana and Carolyn. He currently is a reporter for the Bay Area News Group. toon minder

I loved this book! I wish it had been longer, however. Some of the stories overlapped and it wasn't always clear when one had ended and another began, but I think this was faulty editing. It was very helpful for the research I was doing for my thesis project.
