I would rate this as one of the best beginner books around. Along with the Starter Kit, this book provides a coherent and easy to follow guide. Within 24 1-hour sessions, you'll acquire and develop some basic Perl programming skills and be exposed to some of the more advanced solutions. There are a few typos, but they are pretty obvious. I would recommend this book as part of your Perl library. No single book will get you there, but this is a "must have."
