This book covers most of the stories and folklore I heard as a child, growing up in this region of the country. The illustrations are fun and each page has a different story. What do baseball bats, lead pencils, garnets, Kate Smith, Teddy Roosevelt and Robert Louis Stevenson have in common? You'll have to read it to find out. Some of the editing could be better but it's a great book for a gift or to read by a woodstove or campfire.
