I respect what the author was trying to do but World War Z this is not.
A series of fictive interviews with witnesses to the global warming recounting how their lives were affected by the change of climate.
Hey look, IF we were to have a 6 degree rise in temperatures by 2084, then maybe this COULD happen. I however don't think that it would be the end of global civilization for one simple reason., the GC is self-aware enough to want to survive and it needs energy to survive. Therefore, it denies global climate change BUT prepares for it. We are pawns in the game and ultimately, not too important.
A short (91 page) collection of "interviews" evaluating the long-term consequences of global warming and climate change, from the perspective of 2028. Powell uses the best predictions currently available, basing his future history on the wort-casre scenario. The book paints a vivid picture of what our children and grand-children may be facing.
