An excellent, brief overview and defense of the place for classical Christian education in today’s world. Well written, well examined, and well defended, Sayers walks the reader/listener through the need for a different kind of education (since the modern system has forgotten its purpose: to teach students how to learn), posits that a modern return to classical education’s trivium is the best solution to the problem, defends her position, and gives an example of what this modern trivium would look like. As an aspiring teacher, this work has changed my perspective and given me a renewed passion to teach students how to learn and share with them a passion to do so. I highly recommend this book to anyone who may be the slightest bit interested in this topic.… (meer)
