Started reading Dad's hard copy on July 1st weekend, 2011. Finished on Aug 21, 2011. Downloaded in pdf via web. Some interesting concepts, but also some seem dated. Agree with some, disagree with others. Interesting conclusion @ end of book...comments re:democratic system. Agree with stock piling certain items, but not for inflation protection, but rather for bulk buying savings. Examples 40 years worth of shampoo for $40 from ebay...$45 shampoo pack for $9 due to back to school savings. Don't agree with stockpiling any clothing or food. Clothing can be had for a dime a dozen @ used clothing stores and food is perishable and expensive to store. I don't like clutter.
Like the idea of having some cash and precious metal coinage around in case things get tough. Friendship, knowledge and skills are also a good defense to troubles.… (meer)
