This book is one that I have recently been seeing around the bookstagram community. I am happy to report that it does live up to its reputation. Come True is a funny read with a spicy kick to it. Dolly and Velis were really good together.

Dolly is a no-nonsense kind of woman. While, she may not have really believed in genies in the beginning. She was not easily swayed either by Velis. Velis had a witty side to him that I loved. Which really made for some entertaining banter between him and Dolly.

Yet, when these two stopped the witty banter for a bit, is when the passion between them heated up. It sure made me want my own genie. Readers of fantasy and romance alike will really enjoy reading this book. I know I have become a fan of Brindi after reading this book. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This book definitely delivers on what it promises. Dolly is just trying to keep it together and get her life back on track. Velis has other ideas in mind, ones that are at odds with the rules Dolly has set for herself. Both have great character arcs through the story, and the budding romance that Dolly would give anything to resist that grows between them is seamlessly blended in with their own journeys. If you're looking for a cute, sweet, paranormal romance, you've found your next read!

This book is like a breathe of fresh air! I absolutely adored it. The humour, the sarcasm, the characters just made me laugh.
I loved Velis and Dolly, their banter, chemistry and relationship just played out with ease.
The story and concept were great and it was fun to find the outcome of the mystery and who would have believed it?! I never saw that coming, I had my suspicions but didn't think it was that!!
Obviously I have to be vague as I am not one of those who puts spoilers!

The writing is so witty and the characters are written well with enough depth to them to really bring them off the page.
Arrik's reaction to creepy and gross, just made me chuckle so much - I think we've all known a few "think they're all that" in our time. Which makes the story so much fun to read. You can relate the characters to real life. - obviously without the magic stuff!

Brindi creates a world of genies...djinn really well and the world building is fun to read, the creativeness is really capturing.
The way the book leaves I really hope there's a follow up. I sense there's so much more to explore

BRINDI LUNDBERG ON SMASHWORDS

I couldn't help but be pulled into this wonderful high fantasy and into the world of Farellah. This is a fairly long read, over 600 pages, but the story just flew from the pages and I ended up reading it in less than a week. In a land called Farellah, we meet Aura, a budding songstress who is about to be given her “song”. She isn't all that excited just nervous but is resigned to her duty. As she is about to go into her Rite of Discovery, she is taken captive by a pair of elves, Nyte and Rend, whom are entrusted with the task of taking her to their Elders to find out if she holds the song of Destruction as their prophecy states. Their journey is interrupted by members of a secret society who thinks Aura holds the Song of Salvation. Aura feels like she is normal and average but finds she isn't that at all and ends up questioning who she really is.
As their journey continues they are followed by an evil group of people called Druelca who also want to fulfill the prophecy. She finds out they have captured her twin sister Illuma and sets out to save her and the world.
This is a classic tale of good versus evil 5 stars for grabbing me out of my chair and taking me for a whimsical journey of one's self discovery and the self doubts you have when you find out you aren't so normal after all. It also encourages you to accept yourself no matter who you are.
I would recommend this book for high fantasy lovers who enjoy a twist of romance. The book is 600 pages but it keeps you turning the pages for more. Looking forward to the second book.
