Bruce A. Ramsey

A well written history of a mostly forgotten Depression. Ramsey is a former newspaper columnist, and brings along a reporters eye and format to cover a great deal of ground. I especially enjoyed the chapters covering the politics (and politicians) of the age. Even with his focus on the northwest, this history should be of interest to a much wider audience. Well researched and includes an extensive appendix as well as numerous end notes.
