Sweet

Such a great read and loved seeing other characters we have fallen in love with. These two have been through so much and still have a lot to endure but has too much time and hurt passed that they can’t make things right or will they be able to pick up where things were left behind?

Holy Alpha

Dillon and Ashlyn have a love to annoy each other relationship and they both think the other doesn’t like them, little do they know that their chemistry and attraction are too intense to be ignored. Dillon sets out to prove his feelings in a very alpha yet unconventional way and to an extent it works. I loved him and his protectiveness. I also loved getting to see other characters from previous books that we love.

Starting life over and moving back to her hometown wasn’t what Aria had planned for her life but getting away from a loveless marriage was her priority. She works hard as a writer, has been taken advantage of by her ex, and her own family treats her like she is less than because she won’t fall in line for them. Moving into her new home comes with some disasters so when she must call in some help Tide is on her front door looking as good as ever. Aria crushed on him hard in high school, but they came from two different worlds and now the attraction is still there. The more time they spend together renovating her home the more the pull is too strong to fight. Throw in a sweet, adorable child, a couple of crazy exes, estranged family members, and you have a great read. Tide was amazing and loved with his whole heart and would do anything to protect Aria and his daughter. Aria finally learned how to stand up for herself and let love lead her. A great read!!!

I really enjoyed this book especially because of Gaston, at first I was like surely that can’t be his name but it grew on me and then finding out he had a dog named Lefou just sealed the deal on how much I loved this man. Gaston is a hot alpha male who works hard, knows exactly what he wants, and goes for it. I loved how much he wanted to get to know Chrissie more, so he pursued her hard and got what he wanted. Chrissie is a bakery owner and she works so hard for her business that she rarely takes time off for herself so when her and Gaston become a couple, she finds herself wanting more time with him and worrying less about her bakery. She is hesitant about a relationship because of what she saw her mother go through after her parents divorced but Chrissie wants her happily ever after, so she goes with it. Gaston and Chrissie have an amazing chemistry and they fall head over heels with each other, but I wished that the dilemma/drama wouldn't have ended so abruptly. If you want a steamy read that has an alpha man that takes care of those, he loves then this book is for you.

Penny and Jase’s story was one that was cute and fun to read, the steam was really hot and it definitely gave me some laugh out loud moments. This story was a fast read for me and I loved how things progressed between the characters. Jace is a hardworking grump who mostly keeps to himself and lives for his business, but when he has to go to a family reunion he needs to recruit help and that comes from Penny, on very short notice. Penny is this sweetheart school teacher looking for a summer job so she can help her mother and afford a trip for them both, so when Jace presents his need for a fiancé it’s hard for her to pass it up the chance to get the money for her needs. As these two try to navigate their fake relationship Jace seems so laid back about it while Penny struggles to come up with answers to his family. The things that poor Penny endures from awkward moments to crazy accidents that will have you laughing hard, keeps the readers entertained. While Jace may not spend a lot of time with family he sure makes up for working hard and being grumpy when it’s just him and Penny alone, especially once they can’t fight their attraction any more. I would loved to have gotten into Jace’s head and seen his point of view like the issues with his brother but especially him falling for Penny. Overall this book was sweet, funny, and hot that it kept me entertained throughout and I loved it.

Tamsen Parker recommended "A Love Thing" anthology to me, and this book was apart of it - so I figured it was only right to leave a small review of this book on it's own page as well as the anthology when I finish that book.

My first introduction to this book is the nurse Autumn (our main character) who's working part time at the hospital (and isn't getting paid well, apparently) and part time at a gentleman's club.

The first chapter of this book made me think I wasn't going to like it - I've never really been into the club scene for any books. Then when Autumn moves away and the romance starts - wow! I was obsessed! I was hooked instantly, but then as the relationship between Kenton and Autumn continued, I started feeling... iffy.

My only issue is that I think the relationship between Kenton and Autumn is weird - it's forceful, sometimes a little abusive in my eyes, and... interesting? I like the plot of the book, but the relationship is where I feel off. If there relationship wasn't so brutal, I'd probably be insanely obsessed with this novel. It might be because I've had my own really bad relationships so their relationship gives me bad vibes... Despite that, I still liked the book. I still want to continue reading the series, but the book doesn't match my typical read.

That being said, Aurora Rose Reynolds is incredibly talented and her writing style is fantastic. I really enjoyed her writing since it flows smoothly and keeps you hooked at every turn. The "Assumptions" title and the assumptions in the story is a really nice twist too! Don't judge a book by it's cover, clearly!

The finale of the book is the best part for me. I love when a story can be tied together, and Aurora did it just perfectly. Six out of five stars for the ending!

Overall, these books are clearly fantastic and are made for a certain audience, and I don't think I'm it. I still really recommend this book if you like the possessive side of romances since Aurora is one talented author. Just because I didn't enjoy it to it's full capacity doesn't mean you won't love it too!

Three out of five stars.

Willing Victim by Cara McKenna - 5 stars
Spin by C.D. Reiss - 4 stars
Filthy Wicked Love by Lili Valente - 4 stars
Diamonds by K.A. Linde - 5 stars

I loved the first book....gave it 5 stars. This book wasn't bad but not exciting either. It was difficult to stay interested. I did love the sexy times and thought they were exciting/descriptive.

I like ARR's writing but didn't feel the romance between Sven & Maggie for some reason. It was unbelievable to me that Sven would have been with a woman like Maggie. Her reasons for not trusting were juvenile. I really hated Maggie's stubbornness when it came to her drug addict screw up sister!! This book has been my least favorite in the series so far. I will read more in the series if I stumble upon them when released.

First half was 4 stars but it got a bit slow towards the middle to end. Kim's distrust and hiding her illness got old fast.

I'm just so sick of the h who can't love or trust because she had drunk/drug addicted (yes, both) parents! I was bored our of my mind and had to start skimming. Cobi was actually pretty awesome but I wanted him to find somebody who could appreciate him and not lie to him. This trope where the h pushes the H away for 1/2 the book has been used up. I actually found the multiple times she gets attacked way more interesting than the love portion.

This was a light, easy read. I like ARR's writing style. The story moved along pretty slowly IMO. I enjoyed Jace and Penny together. I loved Jace's crazy family. My only criticism is the topic of body issues. I hate that so many authors now have to make the leading lady chunky or over-weight. It's not like everybody doesn't know that men like all types of women. It's like some authors have to go out of the way to describe cellulite and flab, which adds nothing to the story for me. I wouldn't care if we only know hair and eye color! Interestingly, the men are always well muscled and perfect!

Well done ARR! I LOVED this one. It was chock full of storylines. Cheating exes, divorce recovery, new romance between main characters, cute kid, murdered teenager, and crooked cops. It was hard to put this one down to do other things. Mostly dialogue with not much thoughts/descriptions trying to take over. Definitely going into my favorites.

Very enjoyable! I loved Willow and Clay....they fit so well together. The murder was a great secondary situation. Love Skye!

This was a quick, great read - all in one sitting. This is the first time I've read anything by this author, but liked the writing style and the quick pace. Anna left her family and fiance for a new life that she's always wanted with people that accept and love her. Enter Detective Calvin who annoys her, but in all the right ways. It was a fast paced book. The ending/mystery part of the book wrapped up fast at the end and I would have liked that to expand a little more, but overall a great read that I really enjoyed. Will be looking to read the books prior to this one in this series.

Basic story is basic. Also, it's in dire need of an editor for both grammar carnage and for continuity editing. Timeline jumps around with no cuts and the tenses are inconsistent. Is it first person present or past? Because judging by the text, the point-of-view has a commitment problem.

Also, the scenes from Asher's perspective? Totally unnecessary. A perfect example of being told and not shown.

I was fine with the story, at least in the beginning, but as the mistakes piled up I found myself less and less willing to be generous.

Cute, but not as cute as book one with Tanner and Cybil. We find out more in this book why Blake was such a jerk in the first book. And we see an adorable relationship blossom between Blake and Everly’s son. That was the cutest thing ever. Probably the best part of this story. Everly and Blake were pretty good together too, but I didn’t fully connect with them. However, Blake really loved her and her son and that made this story worthwhile.
