This title identifies the physical forces in play for roller coasters and bungee jumping but not for bumper cars or the creation of cotton candy. Overall there were not a lot of instruction and there was encouragement for readers to use smart phones to look up STEM facts. The content pairs easily digestible narratives with big, bright color photos that are strong on visual appeal. Included are Amusement Park, math problems. The writing is weak and imprecise. Out of all the books I 've read about disabilities this is definitely my personal favorite. I think this book is very powerful because it brings people who have learning disabiities to talk about their personal experiences. I could definitely relate to how the kids were feeling having dyslexia and adhd because as a kid I genuinely don't know what I had but I'm pretty sure it was ADD. I mean I qualified for 504 and I couldn't really pay attention but I never took any medicine for it and no one ever told me what it was so I'm assuming it was ADD. I just loved how this book had the children write their own personal stories and tips for other children with disabilities. I would definitely read this book to my class because it helps other students understand that children with learning disabilities are the same as them but they just learn differently.… (meer)

This is a book about eight different children who have different learning disabilities. Each child has a different learning disability, but they all share somewhat common goals. They also each enjoy different hobbies, school subjects, or sports. At the end of each child's story, they include a tip. For example, Joe's tip is, "As far as learning disabilities go, I say don't give up. You just have to work hard. Believing in myself has helped a lot". I really liked the tips, they show readers that despite learning disabilities, they can still do anything that any other person can.… (meer)
