"Judaism, Christianity, and Islam claim to be monotheistic, but none of them actually is; none of the three has yet arrived at the true monotheism the Bible and the Qur'an mandate: that is, belief in there being but One God of All."

Professor Sanders shows that what emerged out of exile is a monotheizing process, which the first Commandment mandates to be continued. So few even yet live life in the belief that there is but One God of All. ["...of All." See the UU here?]

Monotheizing overcomes the 'we-they' distinction. The need has never been greater to actualize monotheist faith. [? publisher's blurble.]
Calls upon believers to apply "universal and humanistic strictures of the faith" and its normative claims.

Transcript of a symposium, with photos (apparently from the slides shown). Answered my random wondering what ever happened to the scrolls that were found--they are still being pieced together.

A new book for me. Made me feel, instead of just intellectualising, the sacrifice of God on the cross and what it has meant for me, as opposed to what it did for mankind. And to understand the enormity of the sacrifice.
