I have to be honest - I didn't like this book. When I first read about it, I felt like it was going to be something entirely different. I found it hard to follow the narrative.

I know ARC are not always ready for the bookshelves, but this one needs some work on its target audience. It bills itself as a murder mystery, written by a medical doctor. But it is mostly just how-to's on dieting and losing weight; and even then it is a slog to get through. Disjointed and not quite sure the market it is going for.

When I read the summary I was expecting a good murder mystery with some diet tips messed in there. I've read baking mysteries and they always add food suggestions or recipes to it. So I was on the thought that this was that type of book but it isn't. It was more a clinical book with a mystery thrown in at the last minute to make it seem less like a doctor wrote it trying to have you lose weight but figured it wouldn't sell so add a murder to it.

I have tried several times to force myself to read this book to no avail. I realize this is an advanced copy and hopefully there is more work to done on this book. It seems that this is more of a "How- To" book and feels coldly detached.
