A bit of a slow start, but I found this charming. A new favorite for kids.

Danvers Blickensderfer is obsessed with the Muppets especially Gonzo. Also by the way who would give someone the name Danvers Blickensderfer in the first place. Anyways all of his school projects are about Gonzo he even once tried to do a daredevil act just like Gonzo but did not go so well. One night he went to sleep just like normal and woke up with a twist he felt all fuzzy and itchy but when he looked in the mirror he saw something very unpleasant. He was a MUPPET. He couldn’t go to school he thought because he looked ridiculous and when he found out that he had to he dressed up in a space suit that Astronauts wear and looked even more ridiculous than before. Buth had to deal with reality and know that he was a Muppet.

Logan is an aspiring detective and when the carousel is stolen from the local amusement park, she joins the police in trying to solve the crime (even though they wish she wouldn't). After the school playground is stolen, too, Gustavo joins her team and the two of them follow the clues, and the moles, to find the mastermind behind the missing equipment.

This mystery is interactive, and has a lot of the graphic novel elements that are so popular now. I especially liked how the story stopped to ask the reader their suspicions, asking them to go back and peek at the illustration clues before turning the page to find out the answer.

Young Reader Reaction: We would periodically hear giggling from our daughter's bedroom. She loves Statler, Waldorf, and their corny jokes.

Adult Reader Reaction: The story is clever and fun for a while. The humor and wordplay is very much like watching a Muppet movie, but it seemed to get stale about halfway through. In our copy, there were pages with very faint images and text. Hopefully that is just a printer error, because otherwise it is really annoying and hard to read.

Pros: Clever wordplay, plenty of physical humor, and everyone's favorite Muppets come together in this stylized middle grade novel. The book is part story, party graphic novel.

To be a relative and to be given a heritage from an uncle that you don't remember......Wow !!!This story begins that way and the readers of the book soon find out that receiving an inheritance can make your life bad. The people are excited but soon find out that dangers are coming their way.

The author of this book uses pictures to help the reader understand what is happening. Because the book is a series and deals with gross, smelly and ghastly characters - the words are new words to alot of older people - 20 years old and up. I recoommend this book to all ages and prepare yourself to learn new words and pictures that you never how seen before.

Wiley & Grampa's Creature Features #2.

Grampa's annual barbeque is crashed by hundreds of zombies who loved the smell of Gramma's famous BBQ sauce. There's more to the sauce than meets the eye and only something REALLY toxic will be able to save Wiley and friends. Vera, the world's worst lunch lady, provides the toxic borscht that just might do the trick.

Fans of Captain Underpants will like this series.
