2022 movie #184. 1947. A woman (Sheridan) kills an intruder in her home who turns out to be her ex-lover. She lies about victim which leads to all sorts of trouble. pretty good. Sheridan was good but I really liked Lew Ayers (family lawyer and friend) in this @NoirAlley

2022 movie #150. 1942. Bogart plays a high stakes gambler in NYC who's favorite baker is found dead. This leads him to a nest of Nazi sympathizers planning to blow up a ship in the harbor. Bogart was his charmingly best in this, somewhat serious and somewhat comedic, movie.

2022 movie #146. 1939. Bogart is the mysterious Dr. X, brought back to life 7 years before by a mad scientist now has to kill to get the rare blood type he needs to survive. Bogart apparently hated being in this movie and who can blame him.

2021 movie #183. Chris (Hayworth) is a nightclub singer in Trinidad whose husband was murdered. With her brother-in-law (Ford) she helps the police pin the murder on a spy who has had his eye on her. The 9th highest grossing movie of 1952. Her first film since '48. A decent film.

Nel 1941 poco prima dell'entrata USA in guerra Rick Leland viene radiato dall'esercito americano. Fallito il tentativo di arruolarsi in Canada l'uomo decide di imbarcarsi su una nave diretta in Giappone; fa amicizia con il medico di bordo il dottor Lorenz e conosce Alberta Marlow. Fin dall'inizio il personale giapponese si comporta in modo sospetto, arrivando perfino a rovistare fra i bagagli di Leland. Rick stesso ha però qualcosa da nascondere.

Good. It's too long, but pretty delightful when it's good. I didn't even know they made action comedies in the 40's.½

Con l'aiuto di una di queste spie , una ragazza tedesca il cui padre è rinchiuso nel lager nazista di Dachau e che sotto ricatto è stata portata negli Usa per aiutare il gruppo spionistico , riesce a sgominare l'intera banda . Uno dei tanti film patriottici realizzati tra il 1941 e il 1945 , dove i "buoni" sono i gangster Americani che riescono a prevalere sui Nazisti .
