Not the strongest crossword puzzle dictionary. Authors and musicians are alphabetized by first name. ASCAP is listed under "abbreviations" but ELO is under "musicians/composers" -- which is forty pages away from the section called "singers." There aren't a whole lot of cross-references, and there's no index.

On the positive side, the book does contain most of the popular crossword filler (OLIO, ALEE, OONA) with short definitions or explanations, and there are limited solving notes (for Eisenhower and a few others, there's a comment that their initials are more popular than their full names). However, there are more complete and more helpful puzzle dictionaries out there. This one may only be helpful to a brand-new solver, or for a puzzle book completist.… (meer)
