A super fun book series, this book follows Encyclopedia Brown a young self made detective with an amazing brain that he uses to solve mysteries around his town in each book. I love this series and I think that this is a perfect book for th ages of 7-9.

This was a good one to read just a few pages at a time when I wanted to challenge myself. Some of the cases were very easy and some were rather impossible, especially considering my edition was written in 1960 and some of the details that may have been common knowledge back then are not now.

I would recommend this book for a more mature reader only because some of the language is old school.

Fast, fun.

Revisiting my childhood. Encyclopedia Brown solving the cases. Little mysteries that you use your brain to solve. I miss these simpler times. I devoured every one of the series when I was in middle school. Great reads for parents to read with their children & help solve a mystery!

Rating for nostalgia. I loved these books as a kid, after I found old copies of my dad's at my grandparents' house. Some of the slang is hilariously dated now, but the short little mysteries hold up. It's honestly pretty impressive that decent little mysteries can fit in just a few pages, and I loved the flip-to-the-back-for-the-answer format. I learned a lot of interesting trivia from these books, and even remembered the solution to the first mystery in this particular collection.

These short mysteries are quite interesting. To solve all of them, readers would have to have a wide range of knowledge. Some are easily solved with a bit of thought and common sense. Others, not so much. Still, in reading the solutions, everyone will learn something new. It’s a good entertaining book for kids as well as adults.

Great kids book about mysteries!

These books made me want to be smart and to read more. But what a crappy cover. That's not what Encyclopedia looks like at all. Sheesh.
