This book is outdated now, but I can't get rid of it. It's just too kooky. It's for the Red Overtone Moon Year, July 26,2010 to July 25, 2011. Strange glyphs and cycles upon cycles.

2012: Biography of a Time Traveler
The Journey of Jose` Arguelles
by Stephanie South

This amazing 319 page true story was enlightening to read and cleared up a whole lot of gaps for me when it came to 2012, something I heard a lot about but just couldn't put all the pieces together. I had also heard of the Harmonic Convergence and it helped me to understand that better too. The book just flowed and I found myself half way through before I knew it.

The author has a great gift for recreating the scenes, and I could feel myself right there absorbing everything. I am a sucker when it comes to tales about people following their spiritual paths and this one just made my heart sing. I would recommend this tribute to a special man, to anyone who wants the spiritual movement tied up in a pretty blue bow. Thanks Stephanie, well done.

Love & Light,

Riki Frahmann

2012: Biography of a Time Traveler: The Journey of Jose Arguelles (ISBN-13: 978-1601630650), is a 320 page, nonfiction paperback book by Stephanie South. The book is an authorized biography of Jose Arguelles that was released in March 2009 by New Page Books. Stephanie South has done an extraordinary job of sharing the details of Jose Arguelles’s life: information was collected by Stephanie as she worked with and interviewed Arguelles in person and through letters. The text consists of twelve chapters which explore Arguelles’s childhood, his creative genius, his interests in art and his visionary experiences. The book also has several photographs of Jose during various stages of his life along with photographs of his impressive artwork.

For readers not familiar with Jose, Arguelles is an artist, author, lecturer, and educator. He has previously taught at Princeton University, the University of Chicago, and the San Francisco Art Institute. Arguelles is the official founder of the Foundation for the Law of Time and the Planet Art Network. He created the concept of Earth Day and he established the first Whole Earth Festival in 1970. He also is responsible for the organization of the Harmonic Convergence in the late 1980s. Arguelles has maintained a lifelong interest in Mayan civilization and he is responsible for introducing the significance of the date, December 21, 2012 to the masses in his work The Transformative Vision.

Along with Jose’s life, the author of 2012: Biography of a Time Traveler: The Journey of Jose Arguelles explores the concept of artificial time, the concept of synchronicity, and the existence of a psi bank. South further explores Arguelles’ efforts to reveal the planetary crises that humankind is faced with along with how humankind can potentially realign itself with natural time in order to ease the planetary transition into December 2012. Arguelles offers a positive vision for 2012 and the closing of the Mayan Great Cycle.

Stephanie is a native of Medford, Oregon and she began writing at the very early age of ten. In the early 1990s, Stephanie took up journalistic studies in Buffalo at SUNY and in the late 1990s she received her Bachelor’s Degree in journalism from Southern Oregon University. Ultimately, Stephanie found journalistic writing unsatisfying and she sought out advice from her clairvoyant friend, Cassandra Musgrave. The friendship with Cassandra Musgrave eventually led Stephanie South to meet up with Mr. Paul Levy, the head of the Portland Padmasambhava Center and a dream worker. At the 28th annual Whole Earth Festival, Levy later introduced Stephanie to Jose Arguelles. Once Stephanie heard Arguelles speak about the new revolution of time at a lecture, she started working at the Foundation of Law and Time with Arguelles and editing his works. She has co-authored the Cosmic History Chronicles, a seven volume series, and later became Jose’s biographer in her most recent work: 2012: Biography of a Time Traveler: The Journey of Jose Arguelles.

Readers will find Jose’s life fascinating: South leaves no stone unturned and explores some of the joys that Arguelles has experienced as well as the tragic events that have shaped his life. South clearly conveys events in such a way that the reader can easily piece together Jose’s experiences which have led him to become the visionary that he is today. This book is ideal for readers interested in the mysteries that surround 2012 and how to develop a new life outlook: one with a focus on peace and not limited or hindered by the negativities produced by a focus on artificial time.
