Eleanor H. Stickney
Auteur van A little bird told me so : birds in mythology and history
Over de Auteur
Eleanor H. Stickney has been interested in birds since she was a small child, and felt ornithology was her true life's calling. Her grandfather was an active, but amateur, ornithologist while her great-great-uncle, George Newbold Lawrence, was a famous one. The author, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence toon meer College and the author of A Little Bird Told Me (1997), banded birds for the Fish and Wildlife Service for forty-five years, spending thirty of those years as an active ornithologist at the Peabody Museum of Natural History. She also collected birds in Puerto Rico and Antigua for the Peabody Museum of Yale University. Her most memorable bird venture was when she and her late husband saw the beautiful and rare singing male Lawrence's Warbler-a bird her grandfather had discovered and named in 1875. This mother of two grown children is now retired and living in Connecticut, where she enjoys gardening, needlepoint, and travel. toon minder

I suppose it could be a nice reference for those interested, but Google works nicely as well.
