Thoroughly charming first volume! I love the dynamic between Miwa and Saeko and I’m already rooting for them :3 It’s also just enjoyable to read a yuri manga where the main relationship is established right from the start instead of a multiple volume build to that point; I haven’t read many like that so this is a nice change of pace.

The series continues to get an energy boost from the new relationships and the new form taken by an old relationship.

There are some flashbacks to Saeko's past that involves a lot of homophobia and heteronormativity and other painful stuff.

The tentative and cute start to a new relationship gives the book a little energy boost.

There's a jarring dash bit of homophobia following a coming out scene. I think that has only been touched on once before in the series, as most of the gay characters are closeted.

It's all noodling and canoodling as the book meanders around to show new relationships starting to take shape. It's sort of nice but also sort of moving toward boring as more distance is put between the core couple that drew me into the book. The side characters just aren't strong enough to spackle the gaps left in the story now.

Miwa and Saeko continue to struggle with heartbreak, but there may be paths beyond it for them. Bumpy paths with tree roots sure to catch an ankle and thorns everywhere.

I had to look back and remind myself that this series used to be funny and romantic. Here's hoping that comes around again at some point. I think I see some light coming through the bramble.

The new status quo is a little disorienting and heartbreaking and confusing and frustrating and certainly something I'll be returning to for the next volume.

Less comedy and more drama this time as an encounter with her high school crush has unexpected ramifications on Miwa's relationship with Saeko. Definitely coming back for the next volume.

In the first half of the book, Miwa and Saeko encounter a snag in the physical part of their relationship resulting from a communication breakdown in how much of their pasts they want to share or keep secret. A timely high school reunion invite kicks off an extended flashback in the second half to Miwa's high school years and her first crush, letting the audience in on her secrets and how they are going to crash into the present day.

Low key, but the characters remain engaging.

Sweet and funny, this is quickly shaping up to be a reliable series. There's a little more drama this time around as Miwa, the shy one, struggles with self-confidence and a person seemingly intent on outing her. Saeko, the outgoing one, has dismissed jealousy as something she is incapable of feeling, but she cannot deny she's becoming unusually irritated when other people pay attention to Miwa.

Looking forward to the next volume.

Cute story of two girls figuring out how to relationship. I love the fact it fast forwards through the meeting phase and into the more day to day aspects of a relationship - fears, uncertainty, joy, highs and lows.

Saeka is open and lusty. Miwa is shy and reserved. These closeted college students meet cute and decide they should date when they luck into realizing they both happen to be attracted to other women. But now they need to back up and figure out minor things like whether they even like each other, sex, and coming out.

In the afterword, the author notes that a lot of yuri romance manga come to an end when the characters finally realize their true feelings and decide to start dating. Tamifull wants to explore the real relationship work and anxieties that come after the characters have their first kiss, but with a generous dollop of humor.

Romantic and funny, if a bit absurd at times, I like the energy and already have a library hold on the second volume scheduled to release this December.
