I haven't read the precursor to this - Haunted Echoes- yet and I expect that it will help fill in the gaps. This didn't really have a lot of details about the background to the story. It really is a middle of a series book. Aubrey de Lune aka Dr Ginny Moon is an antiquities thief. She works for the Adriano family. She has to escape the family's clutches but they want to keep her for her ancestry and skills.

It's not a bad story but it's not the best either. I really didn't care for the characters much and while it didn't take me long to read the real impetuous for finishing it was that someone was looking for it in the library. I may revisit after I read the second in the series.… (meer)
